Dear international degree and Erasmus students in Estonia, this is your chance to visit Estonian high schools!
Erasmus in Schools is a nationwide program aimed at all Erasmus and international degree students interested in visiting local high schools during their stay in Estonia. During the visits, international and exchange students visit local schools and give lessons about their country, culture, and traditions to create cultural awareness among local students and fight stereotypes. School visitors can give a lecture on a certain topic etc.- depending on what the student and the teacher/school wants. School visits can be carried out in any classes - in subjects such as languages, history, geography, sports, arts, cooking, biology, religion and student counseling. Basically with everything that has something to do with school life.
Students and volunteers will be able to express their wishes and tell about their special skills when they sign up for the program. The actual planning and implementation of the visit will be agreed between the visitor and the teacher/school.
The date(s) and time(s) of the visit(s) are to be agreed between the visitor and the teacher/school. Traveling expenses will be reimbursed if the visitor needs to travel outside of their municipality of residence. All participants will receive a certification.
As high school classes are taking place usually from 8 am to 3 pm, visits take place in the morning or midday.
During the school visit we kindly ask you to take photos and share them with us later. There is also possible to write a blog post for ESN Estonia blog.
Erasmus in Schools project is managed by Erasmus Student Network Estonia, helped by all ESN sections in Estonia (ESN Tartu, ESN Tallinn, ESN TU IC, ESN TalTech IC, and ESN EBS) and supported by Archimedes Foundation.
